Each treatment session usually lasts about one hour but please allow at least 90 minutes for your first appointment.
Unlike conventional reflexology VRT is carried out on the tops of the feet or hands whilst standing up or placing body weigh on the supported hand. It appears that as soon as the foot or hand becomes weigh bearing the power is turned up as far as the therapeutic response is concerned and the body appears to react more quickly.
The treatment is very brief, usually lasting no more than 5 minutes, and is followed by a relaxing traditional reflexology treatment. The therapeutic response from VRT is often quicker, especially with orthopaedic problems.
Advanced VRT techniques can often help intransigent conditions.
- Synergenistic reflexology where the feet and hands are worked simultaneously. This plays a vital role in accelerating the effects of the VRT treatment.
- Working the zonal trigger reflexes on the ankles.
- Nail-working.
- Diaphragm rocking – which has been found particularly helpful in the treatment of ME and stress-related problems.
- Knuckle dusting – found to be particularly good for treating asthma and depression.
- Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage
- Reflexology Chakra Balancing
